The Hampton Inn in Lake Charles can be counted on to provide comfortable rooms with a mini-fridge and a microwave in every room, along with free Wi-Fi, a 42-inch flat-screen, and both full and lap desks (for working on the bed). A king suite includes a pullout sofa, sleeping four.

A complimentary hot breakfast is available each morning and weekday to-go bags are offered, too. The property has an indoor pool and fitness and laundry rooms.

Don't Expect Friendliness...

Not Hilton quality service. Front desk staff was trained very poorly. Daily front desk staff ignored you when coming in or leaving the hotel, no hello or goodbye or have a nice day. This is obviously a training issue as this occurred across both day and nights on multiple days. Cleaning staff also needs better training on replenishing supplies. Came extremely close to running out of toilet paper, not cool. Ran out of tissue on day 2 of 5 without a replacement for the rest of the stay. Hilton hotels are better than this. Good brand, poor location...

Great staff, very willing to accommodate special requests. I stay here on monthly business trips to Lake Charles. Highly recommended. Close to shopping and eating venues. Might make a trip to casino next time.
