Located right on the water, the Hanalei Colony Resort provides an old school Hawaiian feel. The private location is the perfect place to recharge your batteries and relax. The spacious rooms offer kitchenettes, separate bedrooms and living and dining areas. Your room has a private lanai where you can watch the sunset. Wake up to a complimentary breakfast and relax in the outdoor seating area or pool. There is a weekly poolside party for guests, and you can take advantage of the BBQ and picnic areas. The complimentary shuttle takes you back and forth to different shops, restaurants and the north shore beaches. The onsite restaurant and day spa make your stay even more relaxing.

Unforgettable vacation on the North Shore

You know when you look at other people's vacation photos and stuff from the internet, and then you get there and it's just not quite right? This was NOT that. It's like, oh right, this is kind of place that you read about, this is the kind of resort my friends are going to be jealous of. It had just re opened after the flooding and my now fiancee and I (I proposed on the balcony of our suite) had a vacation that we will never forget. Picturesque beaches, and amazing views from the room, the Hanalei Resort was everything we couldn't hoped for.

Reconstructing

We had reservations for November of 2018. However due to the horrible rain damage sustained in the area in April of 2018 the resort is not taking gas at this time. They plan to resume taking guess in April of 2019.
The hotel staff has refunded our deposit and we're very easy to work with. Perhaps we can stay there sometime in the future.
