Located lakeside, this Hilton is situated near the University of North Carolina-Charlotte and the Charlotte Motor Speedway and the Charlotte Douglas International airport is about 15 miles away. Kids will love splashing around the seasonal outdoor swimming pool while parents relax the comfortable lounge chairs on the pool deck. In the evenings, enjoy the outdoor fireplace on the patio or take the complimentary hotel shuttle anywhere within a 5 mile radius. The spacious guestrooms and suites feature one king or two double beds, a sitting area, flat screen television and a coffee station. Beautiful lakeside views are also available from many of the guestrooms and suites as well as connecting rooms. Complimentary Wi-Fi access can be found throughout the hotel so everyone can stay connected to home and work. Families will love to dine lakeside at the onsite restaurant, Edgewater Bar and Grille, for lunch or dinner. And you can start the day with breakfast at the onsite Fountainview restaurant.

Stayed here overnight to visit my son at UNC-Charlotte. The hotel was beautiful and very clean. I saw all the amenities but didn't get a chance to take advantage of them because my stay was so short. I loved the proximity to the Boardwalk and had a wonderful breakfast at the Toastery. Definitely a place to stop for breakfast. Next time I go to Charlotte, this will be my first choice of hotel.
The only reason for this trip was a Bridge Tournament! The vast majority of those staying at the hotel were tournament participants, thus on the same schedule. The escalator from the meeting rooms to the restaurant and hotel rooms was out of order the entire week and one elevator was not operational for most of the week. Many were unable to climb stairs due to age and/or physical condition, and the first couple of days the stairwell doors were locked with no outside handles or access. Later they were propped open for access, but the stairwells were dirty and stinky from smokers.
