If your family is into diving, the Hilton is a good choice for you. The onsite dive center has received numerous awards for safety and instruction, and maintains seven dive boats so there’s no waiting. However, with two private beaches, three swimming pools and a massive fitness center, there is more to do than play underwater. The hotel has 196 rooms in various configurations, and in addition to all children staying free, those under five years old eat free; those under 18 eat for half price.

There are not a lot of good choices for hotels in Curacao, and this one is perfectly OK if you want to stop in Willemsted. The hotel is a bit dated. Renovations were going on while we were there (mostly to the lobby I think), meaning checkin had to be outside in the driveway....considering this, well handled. We did get a room facing the sea, which was nice, but be aware that there can be considerable walks in this hotel to your room. Parking right across the street, it was a task to find our car as the parking garage elevator was not working half of the time, and the stairwells need a map to figure out (by the time we left, we had it figured!!). There is an attached infinity pool with a fake beach if thats your thing. We found the staff to be generally pleasant and helpful...considering that you are on "island time" everything was efficient enough. It is nice to be able to walk around the town center, and if that is your wish, then this hotel will work - especially after the renovations are done (they said November).

We traveled in August and enjoyed the stay. The hotel is centrally located. The staff is all great- special stand outside Roland the doorman and Sheila from Irie tours. The female bartender in the lobby is the best ever.
