Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this 1916 hotel is located in the heart of the downtown area. As soon as you step in the door, you’ll be admiring the elegant furnishings, and as soon as you step out, you’ll be right in the action of the walkable streets, where you’ll find ample shopping, dining, and cultural opportunities. Onsite amenities include a complimentary breakfast, 24-hour concierge, and free Wi-Fi — plus Grizzly’s Gifts, where the kids can pick up souvenirs for friends back home. Choose either a standard room or junior suite, both of which are available with two oversized double beds; the junior suite adds a living area, mini-fridge, and breakfast bar.

It is Historic

It was a little too quaint for my liking and the rooms were a little on the small size. With that said the rooms were a little cheaper than the nearby chain hotels in the CBD.

The included breakfast was pretty good and no issues with the front desk service.

The location was good and a short walk to the small CBD area.

Interesting Old Hotel

This hotel is really not equipped to handle hot weather. We also found the bed uncomfotable.
On the positive side the staff were very friendly. It's location is within walking distance to the railroad which was why we chose this particular hotel.
Disappointingly the staff on check in did not actually follow all procedures and the owner thought we were a no show.
Also the hotel takes a night's booking as a deposit, which around 10 months out was a little excessive, but it was in the conditions but I missed it at the time.
Noise was also a factor on the weekend
