Hoedel’s is in a quiet forested neighborhood less than 2 miles from the center of town. It’s a short trip down the hill to find the fine restaurants and art galleries that Homer is known for. Kids will get a kick out of the Alaska Islands and Ocean Visitor Center, where they can earn their Junior Biologist badge by exploring the exhibits and nature trails. It’s a short walk down to Bishop’s Beach and its tidepools. Another fun point of interest is the Pratt Museum, which highlights the natural history of the Homer area.
