This branch of the popular brand is very proud of their awards for excellent guest service, so except a nice welcome and helpful staff. The Holiday Inn Express is located off Interstate 80, just one mile from downtown Elko, Nevada. Other area attractions include Ruby View Golf Course, shopping centers, restaurants, casinos and Northeastern Nevada Museum with its Wanamaker Wildlife Exhibit. Families really enjoy the signature, complimentary Express Start Breakfast Bar with hot favorites like bacon, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and cinnamon rolls. And, remember to grab a warm chocolate chip cookie at check in or when you stop by the lobby.
All rooms come standard with refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, flat-screen TV, work desk with lamp, free local calls, cable/satellite, phone with voicemail, free morning newspaper, windows that can be opened by guests and free bottled water.

Recent name change made finding hotel impossible with GPS. Prepaid check in took twenty minutes as desk clerk was "on break". Sewer issues in kitchen created sewer stench in lobby kitchen with soaked towels and buckets all over. Not hot breakfast due to sewer problem and kitchen was not cleaned prior so went elsewhere. The soiled towels were bagged and laying by the door. Hall carpets on first level were raised all the way down the hall, a tripping hazzard to my handicapped spouse. Our tub wouldn't drain, so had to leave a tub full of water. I believe this was a Holiday Inn Express, perhaps sold off some of their older properties in need of repair and renovation.
We stayed here during the Ruby Mountain Balloon Festival. This is a great hotel with wonderful staff. The rooms are spacious with refrigerator and microwave. The breakfast area is fantastic with hot breakfast. We will stay here the next time we are town.
