Nice hotel BUT! Nice decor, Nice big conference room with comfy seating. Nice front desk staff with genuine concern for customer care. Nice decor, Nice rooms but housekeeping...issues. The hotel has a bar and restaurant. Impressed with some things but NOT all.
We selected this hotel for its location near the northeast side of the city and were not disappointed. This is a five story hotel located a few minutes walk over a pedestrian bridge from Purdue Fort Wayne. Our room was comfortable and well appointed although there was a very distinctive tobacco smoke odor we both noticed upon entrance. The bed was comfortable and the bath room was larger than average for a hotel with a wet design with walk-in shower around a wall partition without shower curtain or door.
There is a restaurant and lounge available. We did not utilize these facilities and cannot comment upon them.
Check in and out was seamless and rapid. The staff was amazingly friendly and efficient.
One drawback: we called because we had forgotten to bring ibuprofen and tried to take advantage of the listed offer to supply anything we needed. There was never any satisfactory response, even an apology that this could not be supplied! Not sure why the service is offered if it will not be completed.
Families will love to hang out at the heated, indoor pool after a day of exploring Fort Wayne. The pool is surrounded by lounge chairs and tables and is a great spot for the adults to relax while the kids take a dip. The pool is open from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. and pool towels are provided. The outdoor patio, just outside the pool, offers even more chairs to relax in under the sun. The kids will love the mastodon (elephant) mascot that stands tall in the pool area as well. Restrooms are also situated just outside the pool.
Open for breakfast and dinner, this onsite, full service restaurant is free for children ages 12 and under. Breakfast, which runs from 7 to 10 a.m., features both buffet and made-to-order options. Dinner runs from 5 to 10 p.m. and there is plenty of seating both inside and outside.
