We have stayed here so many times it truly feels like coming home....that is if home was in paradise. This is definitely my "happy place". The staff is wonderful. The rooms are always clean and very comfortable. There is no other place like HAC! Love it, Love it, Love it!

My sister and I planned a trip for just the two of us - girl time! She initially proposed an all-inclusive, but we couldn't find one we were certain we would enjoy so we decided on the Hotel Akumal Caribe: Best.Decision.Ever. Our vacation was amazing!! I can't say enough good things about this hotel. It's really kind of a complex containing hotel and bungalow rooms, a dive shop, a spa, lovely gift shops, and two restaurants. It's right on the beach, and also has a great pool area. It has everything you could want just steps away. Only a block away, there are more restaurants and shops within safe walking distance. We never had a bad meal, the food was wonderful. If you want to plant yourself on the beach and not move for a week, you're all set. If you want to explore the area, there are Mayan ruins, cenotes, and snorkeling all around you. We snorkeled almost every day just off the beach and saw sea turtles, sting rays, squid, barracuda, flounder and many types of coral. Everyone working at the hotel and restaurants was friendly and helpful - they really went above and beyond. We had a room with two double beds - the most comfortable mattresses and pillows I've ever had in a hotel room, possibly better than my own! Each room has A/C and a ceiling fan to keep you cool. There is a safe in the room for peace of mind when leaving your valuables behind. They also provide potable water in a water cooler, and a mini-fridge. I was initially a little unsure about this trip because I don't consider myself a beach person, but I was wrong to be hesitant. It was amazing and I would not hesitate to recommend the Hotel Akumal Caribe!
