This hotel (formerly the DoubleTree by Hilton Golf Resort San Diego) is within 10 miles of the Flying Leatherneck Museum, San Diego Zoo Safari Park and Miramar Reservoir. A few other points of interest include the Pelly’s Mini Golf at Del Mar Golf Center and Queen Califa’s Magical Circle. The 4-star hotel has 174 suites, it also has tennis courts, babysitting, a fitness center, nearby golf course and swimming pool. The dining options at Hotel Karlan San Diego – a DoubleTree by Hilton include room service and an onsite restaurant. IN-N-OUT Burger, Filippi’s Pizza Grotto and Panera Bread are all family-friendly eateries that are notable and are close to the hotel as well.

Good place for a quick stay

Only stayed for a night, would like to stay longer. The hotel is very spread out much larger than I expected. Check in was quick and easy. our room was on the second floor balcony looked out at a few trees. The room was larger than I thought it would be. It was very comfortable nice bed and large shower. Did not eat or use any of the other facilities. I would return and stay a little longer.

The best staff

We stayed at this hotel while visiting for my daughters wedding. The staff there was so amazing & accommodating. Kyle made our trip the best. The next time we are in San Diego we will definitely be staying here.
