So many fine things - Beautiful public spaces, lovely museum-style glass collection, great lobby bar with cozy fireplace, outdoor gas fire pit, good food, convenient to Tacoma Convention Center, spectacular views of Mt. Rainier. Now it’s time to refresh the rooms, properly clean the marble bathroom floors, update worn furniture in suites, and put decent coffee in the rooms. Hey management, invest a little money and you’ll have a real gem of a hotel!

The entrance, lobby, and common areas are quite beautiful. The staff at check-in were kind and helpful. The restaurant was not bad but nothing extraordinary.
The rooms— you can tell they are trying to update and modernize. Overall the appeal is there. Unfortunately, they are overlooking something’s. The shower and shower head were not clean. My drain in both the shower and sink were molded and stained. The corners in all areas need recycled and cleaned. The a/c unit was missing a cover over the fan, which allowed all the visible dust to blown around the room every time it was on.
The bed ... ???? I had two queens and tried both beds. They both KILLED my back. I could feel the springs poking through, and the beds are extremely hard! The pillow game was strong, a good variety in the room. The bedding and sheets were good quality.
The coffee offered in room was pretty bad. I tried but couldn’t drink it.
