No other accommodation in Marfa captures the spirit and history of the town like this beautiful old hotel. Built in 1930, and completely renovated in recent years, The Hotel Paisano offers several original-style rooms and a variety of family-friendly suites. Ideal for a family is the Dennis Hopper Suite, which features a king bed and a queen bed, each in their own separate bedroom. The suite also includes a comfortable living room, a small kitchen, and two private balconies. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi, ceiling fans, free bottled water, an outdoor heated pool, gift shop, and a fitness center. There’s no free breakfast, but there are small breakfast items available to purchase at the onsite restaurant.
The Hotel Paisano is located in the middle of downtown Marfa. Practically everything in town is within walking distance of the hotel, especially the trendy restaurants and galleries that have made Marfa famous. The hotel’s restaurant, Jett’s Grill, serves a late lunch, but is best known for its full dinner service. There is no shortage of fine-dining experiences in town, many of which require reservations during the busy season. Your hotel is only a mile from the minimalist artworks on the grounds of Fort D. A. Russell. Other art installations are spread out all over town, easily accessible on foot or by car. To appreciate the natural beauty of the area, book a desert excursion with one of the local tour companies, or drive north to one of the last remaining pre-Civil War Army forts at the Fort Davis National Historic Site. For something a little different, drive 8 miles east of Marfa at dusk to see the mysterious Marfa Lights. With its small town charm and historic architecture, the Hotel Paisano is a great choice for your family vacation to West Texas.

We stayed at The Hotel Paisano for a couple of nights earlier in the week. Incredible stay. It is a wonderful, historic hotel that immediately transforms you to the past with it's wonderful style and architecture. The hotel is also very comfortable and well run. Staff was friendly and efficient. Rooms were well appointed with good amenities. Very clean. I could stay here a week just to soak in the atmosphere. A lot of little touches. We had a patio with a fireplace and they provided a fire log and even matches. Keurig in the room with local coffee. Bottled water. Comfortable bed. All in all, very well done.
Hotel Paisano is quaint historic and charming. It could use some updates and paint in rooms but we had a queen room with private patio and fireplace.. It was great.
The bar with patio was enjoyable and the hotel was hosting an artist reception which was outstanding.
