Made it a point to visit the home of Vienna’s national desert and try the original Sachertorte. I waited in line for about 20 minutes before I was seated in a booth upstairs that featured red velvet cloth seats and regal decor with modern accents. The mini chandelier at my window table was a nice touch. Oh did I mention that the desert was awesome? Would most definitely recommend.
As a surprise treat for my 70th Birthday my husband booked a room at this famous hotel and had an extended stay for 5 nights.
The service and all the staff were outstanding and I was so pleased that our room was upgraded to one of their signature suites. Nothing was too much trouble and my birthday dinner in the Grune Bar was an amazing experience.
One particular delight was the charming chambermaid from Delhi that gave the turn down service at night, with every attention to detail.
It is so rare to have this level of excellence combined with a warm and friendly atmosphere......a true 5star experience.
