We cannot recommend this resort high enough (or maybe we shouldn't to keep it special) anyway we returned in October for another two weeks with our 11 year old son.
Rooms are spacious and the resort had added a new hotel and restaurants. The Indian and Lebanese (Jibin was helpful) are really good additions with more fantastic food however White Orchid still retains our favourite.
Staff are brilliant but a few special names to look out for....
Dev remembered us and looked after us by the pool everyday he's a great asset to the team, while Bishnu works hard in the pool bar and always serves with a smile while at Captains bar Aftab looked after us as the sun sets.
There are plenty of things to do around and the entertainment team are excellent John is great with the kids while Happy Patrick is certainly a motivator.
The new singers (in addition to Hazel & Yang) help improve the atmosphere in the various bars

Finally we booked the Bateaux Dubai - Fantastic experience and well worth the journey. (Hotel really should advertise this more)

We got off to a shaky start arriving for check-in at 04:00 in the morning with confusion about our allocated room being highlighted by the bell-boy, who took it up with the front desk that the room was not appropriate for our son who uses a wheelchair to get around. This was quickly rectified with an allocation to a different room on the ground level, although the room was not prepared for 3 occupants with the sofa bed having to be made up causing a further delay.

My only real gripe in this review is that we paid for a 3 occupancy room, and a sofa bed may be ok for a small child, but not a teenage boy! A proper fold out bed should have been supplied as our son was charged at full adult price and laying on a sofa bed is good only for a night or two at most.

Disabled Access - This was very good, and made even better because of the attention to detail of the hotel staff.

Bars - There are various bars scattered around the grounds of the hotel, but the main one is the La Fontana Pool Bar with all the staff being very friendly and attentive to the guests. Two absolute stars working at the bar that we got to know were Sam & Lakmal… you guys were fantastic!!

Staff/Service - One word…. FANTASTIC!!… From breakfast to dinner, impeccable!

In summary, a fantastic hotel with great staff, great food and great service..As a family we have never wanted to return to the same hotel overseas the following year.. with regard to the JA Palm Tree Court… we may make an exception.
