As of July 2014, the Kauai Sands Hotel is now the Kauai Shores, an Aqua Hotel, which is currently undergoing a $10-million renovation. The property received a facelift, including the guestrooms, corridors, common areas and the restaurant. The 200 guestrooms are spread across a two-story buildings, with ocean and beach views. Rooms include mini-fridges and complimentary Wi-Fi, plus flat-screen TV’s and private lanais and balconies. The resort also offers laundry facilities, two swimming pools, BBQ grills and a 24-hour front desk. The resort offers a free continental breakfast daily from 7 to 10 a.m.

The hotel is on the beach, has a restaurant on the beach and has two pools. By which to relax. A short walk to the coconut marketplace will get you everything you need. I will return as soon as I am able.
