The Kimpton Glover Park Hotel is an upscale, boutique hotel in Washington, D.C.’s Glover Park — a quiet, residential area. Close to Georgetown, it offers families a reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Opened in 2016, the hotel features modern guestrooms with mini-fridges and coffeemakers. Each room is equipped with one king or two queen beds. Upgrade to a Studio Queen Queen Kitchenette to have a kitchenette with a toaster, microwave, mini-fridge and coffeemaker. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available to Kimpton Karma members — sign up, it’s free.

The Kimpton Glover Park Hotel has an onsite restaurant, Casolare, which specializes in Italian cuisine. It’s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with highchairs available for little ones. Other hotel perks include complimentary (and kid-friendly) wine hours, hosted from 5 to 6 p.m. daily; bike rentals; in-room spa services; pet-friendly rooms (and special treats for pets); a fitness center; children’s program; and perhaps best of all, a complimentary shuttle to the closest metro station and area colleges.

I found this in the stay in the city to be the feel of outside the city...an easy trip to downtown and far enough away to be out of the city. There are several restaurants within walking distance as well as coffee shops and a Trader Joes (Supermarket). There is a shuttle to the metro and a restaurant on site.

I recently returned from the D.C .area . I was extremely pleased with my two night stay at the Kimpton glover park . Cool vibe, very good bar/ restaurant. Our room was ample and very clean, loved the amenities in the bathroom . One suggestion would be to put a full length mirror in the room itself . Friendly front desk . I would absolutely stay here again being that I have family within walking distance .
