This place was an epic stay! From the food to the fishing and everything in between! The staff is amazing! I typically don’t eat till I’m full but I went to bed ashamed of myself by how much food I ate! This is a fisherman’s paradise. I’m going home with a huge box full of lingcod, cod, silvers, and halibut. If you are coming here I highly recommend a flight day! I have never seen fishing like that. (You will think about trying to catch them with your hands) Casey, Tony, Chad, Rafe, Cam, Eric thank you guys so much for the fishing of a life time! We were a group of eight buddies. Some expert fishermen, some beginners. The facilities at Kodiak Legends Lodge were perfect. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The group dining area was really great. Our three chefs made sure we all gained weight. Dinners were particularly great. Some fish, some beef. All very good. Fishing; we spent three days fishing for Halibut primarily, but caught plenty of yellow eye, grouper, rockfish and others. The last day we took a float plane to a nearby inlet and fished for spawning salmon. We had four guides, all very knowledgable and incredibly helpful. Never once did we feel anything but well protected from any issues that one might find in the wilds of Alaska. We did have plenty of rough water that our guides handled perfectly. Didn't't see a lot of bears as they were more focused on berries further up in the hills, and less on salmon. But our guides are true outdoorsmen. Highly recommend Kodiak Legends Lodge.
