First we were given the wrong room #, key did not work; staff rekeyed for Room 221. Later the former guest tried to get into our room w/his key. There were 2 beds ~ one bed had clean sheets, the other did not. When checking out we were given a receipt for 2 nights instead of one not in our name (that person got charged an extra night). Finally received the correct charge, in our name, for a room we did NOT stay in. After returning home we found our room was charged to the couple we were traveling with.
The building, grounds, etc. was run down. Would NOT stay here again and will check thoroughly before we ever stay in a LaQuinta again.

The breakfast area was clean. My bed was extremely uncomfortable. I even switched rooms. And the beds there are just hard. I have stayed here twice before and didn't have any issues with the beds. Not sure if they changed the mattresses or something. The dogs barking through the halls were loud. Never had an issue with pets there before either. They were renovating so I assume they may have a new owner. I come to Birmingham twice a year so I’m unsure if I’m coming back to Laquinta.
