Located at the very end of the 4-mile long Homer Spit, this resort lives up to its name. It’s an ideal accommodation for large families looking for a wealth of amenities in one place. The Starboard Bay suites can sleep a family of six on a combination of queen beds and twin murphy beds. You’ll also get a private deck with breathtaking views of Kachemak Bay. Each of the two bedrooms in these suites include a TV and DVD player, along with free Wi-Fi, a refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker. Other amenities include a heated indoor pool, outdoor hot tub, fitness center and sauna. The onsite restaurant, The Chart Room, offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with spectacular views.
The Land’s End Resort has a great location, right next to the ferry terminal at the end of the Homer Spit. It’s also a short walk from your hotel to the popular shops and restaurants along the busy harbor. Homer is known as the Halibut Fishing Capital of the World, and the harbor is the perfect place to find a fishing charter. Before you explore further, pay a visit to the Alaska Islands and Ocean Visitor Center, where you can learn about area wildlife before walking a short trail to the nearby wetlands and tide pools. In the middle of town is the fun Pratt Museum, where you can learn about the history of Kachemak Bay, see a historic cabin and stroll through the botanical gardens. Homer is a small town, and easy to get around. The Land’s End Resort is perfectly placed to enjoy all that the area has to offer.

This resort has amazing offseason discounts. I travel often to Homer for business, and recently discovered this hotel. It is out on the end of Homer spit, so maybe that is why it is so reasonably priced. It has very cozy rooms, with usb jacks in the outlets next to the bed (which should be in every hotel). They also have three Pokestops!

Cant go wrong whales where with in 100 Yards of our room right off the end of the spit. Room was very clean with a soaking tube. The area restaurants are also very good. Cosmic Kitchen is the place to get lunch when your there.
