Ok but....

by tarikfa

The feeling i have after my stay in this hotel is that i stayed in a tomb the hotel lobby is very spartiate, the room floors are very dark and lack any decoration. The first room they gave me, they say it is the best was so noisy that i had to change. Rooms are suite but the living area has no windows which makes it unattractive. They may have refurbished it not long ago but the overall feeling is that this is a very old hotel not well maintained that needs serious refurbishment. One morning i could not take a show as they shut down the water on my floor due to a lick, they offered me a solution but..... the room is not completely tidy, i am tall so i can see the layer of dust and dirt on top shelves. There is nothing attractive in this hotel, they have tried to make modern with old and it simply does not work.

Good hotel, just needs an update

My wife and is gayer here for three days and really liked the hotel. The location is great, the rooms are big and people were very friendly. The biggest negative was the hotel is stuck in the 90s and needs an update badly.

-great location right on Paseo de la Reforma. Walking distance to the historic center and Polanco and Condesa and plenty to do and see nearby
-all rooms are suites, at least that’s what we were told, so you have plenty of space. A nice little sitting room with a small bar area and adequate size bedroom. It was also very quite which is sometimes nice in a large city
-the people were very nice from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We were always greeted when came and went and the staff at the front door always made sure we got in the right Uber

-the hotel is dated. I don’t really care all that much considering the price was great but fixtures, counters, lobby etc were a little tired
-the hotel is covered in an sort of like an exoskeleton. We were on a high floor but it’s very hard to see anything with a giant beam and corrugated panels in front of your face
-the Starbucks in the hotel is terrible. The hot coffee I got on the first day was cold and the milk was bad. Go to Cielito across the street

-the sesame candy they leave in the bowls in the common areas on each floor is awesome

I would stay here again but would like to see an aesthetic update.
