This boutique beachfront hotel is small, but makes you feel as if you are family as soon as you arrive. The sand and sea are only steps away from any of the guestrooms. Families can lounge on the beach chairs under a palapa or spend time by the outdoor pool. The guestrooms are small, but feature excellent views of the water. Guestrooms on the ground level feature their own “front lawn” with patio chairs and a hammock. The onsite a la carte restaurant features excellent meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the all-inclusive option makes meals convenient for families.

This beachfront hotel is an excellent choice for families who wish to be more than just another guest. Everyone will know your name almost immediately when staying here and will always be ready to assist you with any needs.

The 25 guestrooms and suites can accommodate two to four people. Extra beds, cribs and mini-fridges can be provided upon request. Complimentary Wi-Fi can be found throughout the hotel.

Guestrooms

The guestrooms feature a king bed, flat-screen television, laptop safe and a standup shower in the bathroom. The balcony features two patio chairs and features a beach view. The ground floor guestrooms feature a large grass lawn area with two patio chairs and a hammock. This grass area is ideal for children to enjoy.

Beachfront Guestrooms

The beachfront guestrooms also feature a king bed, flat-screen television and a laptop safe, and the bathroom features a standup shower. The terrace in these guestrooms also features two patio chairs and a private plunge pool that overlooks the beach. These guestrooms are only a step or two away from the sand.

Junior Suites

The Junior Suites can accommodate up to four people. There is a double bed in each room, along with a flat-screen television in each room as well. The terrace or balcony features a pool and beach view and the bathroom features a standup shower.

Disappointing

First of all let me say that Danny at the front desk is a wonderful person and is helpful as he can be. But although it is beachfront one cannot swim in the beach because of coral and rocks at the shoreline in fact it takes a mile walk along the shore to find ocean that is swimmable. The food was awful continental breakfast meant a piece of toast and a glass of juice and coffee. The shower dripped and although people were working all the time to Keep it swept it’s still had a rundown sad feel to it. The beach is in renovation and I wonder what the future of this hotel is. There was a rendition of what the hotel was to be which was double its size. The size was not a problem we only stayed one night but I do not know how it has gotten so many high reviews.

We had travelled extensively around Mexico staying at many hotels and Hicenda's by the time we reached this poor excuse for a hotel.
The room was clean enough and had a balcony with good view of the sea.
The bed was a small double uncomfortable with a mattress that was lumpy squashed in the wrong size of bed frame.
There was no mini fridge in room so no way to keep the essential bottle of cold water. No coffee or tea making facility provided a standard feature in all Mexico hotels we stayed at. Water bottle provided for first night to use to wash our teeth but not replaced unless one US dollar is paid each time.
The dinner menu food choice was limited and so badly prepared that is caused a night of violent sickness. The wine was expensive at 35 USD for a below average bottle. The hotel is located far from town which meant a 300pesos taxi fair each way to the town center. Adding an extra 600 pesos to your dinner bill which we had to do on subsequent nights to avoid more food poisoning.
The breakfast was the worst compared to what we got at any hotel, stale bread and pastry and coffee is what you got as included anything else is at an extra cost.
Items on the limited lunch menu had ran out by 1pm making it even more limited.
Service quality was inconsistent with some staff with particularly poor attitude. The hotel beach is located right next to the public beach so loud music and picnics near by is to be expected . But this also provides the only protected area for swimming segregated from the jet skies which regularly came across. While the beach is sandy the entry into the sea is rocks and tons of seaweed making the beach at hotel unusable. Unfortunately the pool had stagnant areas which is not hygienic for swimming. Wifi access which is standard across all the places we stayed at in Mexico was an additional charge in this hotel. The water taps did not work so didn't get any hot water, This was not fixed despite complain to reception staff. Though they did replace the stained towels they provided. This a bad joke of a place which wasted days from our valuable holiday time

Pool

The outdoor pool is small, but inviting. The surrounding sundeck features lounge chairs under trees and the poolside cafe has tables overlooking the beach. Pool towels are provided.

Beach

The wide, white sandy beach and the Caribbean Sea are only steps away from every guestroom at Le Reve. There are beach lounge chairs under palapas that are perfect for providing shade. The poolside cafe is just steps away and beach and poolside service is available. Kayaking is available to guests as well.

Family Dining

Merlot

The onsite restaurant, Merlot, overlooks the pool and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is an a la carte restaurant with a menu that changes daily so no stale buffets here. The food is delicious with items like pasta, seafood, steak and chicken, and the service is just as wonderful. The all-inclusive package is optional, but recommended unless you plan to be away from the hotel for most dinners.

Beach Cafe

The beach cafe is located at the pool and overlooks the beach. Light fare like sandwiches, burgers and guacamole, is available here, along with cocktails. Pool and beachside service is available and there are a few tables that overlook the beach as well. The cafe closes at 5 p.m.

Cancun International Airport is located less than an hour from the hotel. Airport transportation can be arranged by the hotel for an additional cost.

Getting Around

This hotel is a bit removed from the main thoroughfare. It may feel like you've taken a wrong turn as you drive down small dirt roads to reach the hotel, but there are plenty of hotel signs pointing you in the right direction. The beach, pool and restaurant are all only a few steps away from most guestrooms.
