We purchased a 5 night stay in a One Bedroom Villa through Luxury Escapes. From the time of booking the communication and helpfulness of the staff was excellent. The package included return transfers which were easy to organise and their fleet of vehicles are modern and clean. The drivers were all very professional and friendly. We had just spent a few days in Seminyak at a Hotel with people everywhere but the Villas was a very private and quiet experience. We really enjoyed our 5 night stay - the villa was spacious, clean and well appointed. Our package included daily massages which we found easy to book either in the room or down at their other property in Seminyak which was a short shuttle bus ride away. We also had daily breakfast and 3 dinners included. We enjoy the buzz of having other people around so we mainly went to the restaurant for our meals but often we were there on our own. I recognise most people go to these type of villas for privacy but we found it a bit too quiet and would have loved to see other guests dining. The location is removed from any other local restaurants or shops so taking a walk to look around is not really an option. We had a really good time and can't fault Maca Villas but 5 nights was enough before we went a little stir crazy. The staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much. The only small negative was the 10pm phone call (wake up call) to confirm our massage time which we had already confirmed earlier in the day. If you want to lock yourself away and see nobody and not do anything then this is the place!!

My wife and I, and our 10month old baby, stayed at Maca Umalas for 1 week. The 1 bedroom pool villa was beautiful and immaculately kept. The staff were an absolute delight (special mention to Norman and Nova). They went out of their way to make it the most comfortable stay, esp with a baby. We loved our daily in-villa massage and the restaurant too. The local village has plenty of good cafes and restaurants. The shuttle to Seminyak was very handy so that we could enjoy the wellness centre. The location was a little away from the action, but that also means it’s quieter and out of the hustle and bustle. Once we decided to hire a scooter from the hotel, it made getting around much easier. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
