Monarch Beach Resort, formerly the St. Regis, Monarch Beach in Dana Point, California is in Orange County and offers families 400 guestrooms and suites with king and queen beds, ocean views and balconies, large bathrooms and free Wi-Fi. The premium suites are considered family rooms and offer sofa beds and complimentary Suite Host service, as well. The largest can sleep up to six guests.

Onsite fun can be had at one of the two swimming pools, the local beach, the golf course and the tennis club. Specifically for children, the Coastal Caterpillar Club keeps those between 5 and 12 occupied with games, entertainment, scheduled activities and more. Full-day, half-day and nightly programs are available for different fees. Babysitting is also available for children under 5. Families can also sign up for water sport lessons through the resort.

Enjoy family meals at the Stonehill Tavern (dinner only), AVEO Table + Bar (breakfast, lunch and dinner), Club 19 (breakfast and lunch only), Sombra (lunch and early dinner only), Part & Parcel Market (to-go breakfast and lunch items), 33 North (lunch, dinner and drinks), or the Monarch Bay Club (lunch and dinner).

Monarch Beach Resort is delightful. Make sure to stay at the Monarch if you are in Dana Point Area. This place is top notch. Everyone is super friendly, great food, amazing service. Can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful, relaxing property

What a great place to recharge, relax and take a few minutes to enjoy life.Sitting on the balcony of 33 Degrees North and watching the incredible sunset while sipping a gas of wine with friends was phenomenal. The rooms were great, as was the service. There are many, excellent food venues at the resort. The spa is wonderful. I cannot wait to return!
