Amtrak Offering Discounted Fares to National Cherry Blossom Festival

Amtrak is featuring special fares for passengers wanting to travel to Washington, D.C., for the National Cherry Blossom Festival, now running through April 16. Fares are discounted 25 percent when booked 14 days in advance.

Fares begin as low as $26 from Richmond, Virginia, to $57 from Stamford, Connecticut, with routes between including Newark, Wilmington, New York, Philadelphia and Newport News. Discounts are available on Acela Express, Capitol Limited, Cardinal, Carolinian/Piedmont, Crescent, Northeast Regional, Silver Service/Palmetto and Vermonter to Washington Union Station, helping visitors eliminate parking fees and festival traffic delays.
