One of New York State’s most popular Halloween attractions returns at the end of the month, and interested families should hurry to get tickets now.
The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze returns to the Van Cortlandt Manor in the Hudson River Valley, illuminating more than 7,000 Jack O’Lanterns during the dark, fall evenings. Tickets sell out every year for this limited-engagement attraction, which features sound effects, synchronized lighting, and a variety of shapes and creations carved into pumpkins.
The evening event takes place Sept. 30; Oct. 1 to 2, 7 to 10, 13 to 16, 19 to 31; and Nov. 3 to 6 and 10 to 13. Tickets are $20 for adults and $16 for children 3 to 17. (Saturday tickets are $25 and $20, respectively.) Advance tickets are required and sold out every night of the event last year. Purchase tickets through Historic Hudson Valley’s website.
