Ocean Palms Beach Resort is the ultimate hotel for families who vacation in Carlsbad, Calif. In many of the hotel’s rooms and suites, amenities include fully equipped kitchens (most, but not all have microwaves) and dog-friendly accommodations. Kona Suites are best for families, as they sleep up to four guests and provide kitchens and shower and tub combinations. Luxury Mini Suites are a viable option for groups of four, too, though they don’t provide kitchens. If you’re traveling with a group of six, consider a Tahitian (which has a private patio), Maui or Luxury Two-Bedroom Suite. If you’ve got 10 in tow, you’ll fit in the Molokai Suite, which also has a private patio.
