The Omni Providence Hotel has 564 guestrooms and suites, complete with mini-fridges, coffeemakers, irons and ironing boards, safes, flat-screen TVs and Wi-Fi access for a fee (or free for members of the Omni Guest Select rewards program). Complimentary cribs and rollaway beds are available upon request.

Deluxe Rooms
At 326 square feet, Deluxe Rooms offer guests all the standard amenities. Families can choose from one king bed or two double beds to sleep up to four guests.

Deluxe Fitness Rooms
Deluxe Fitness Rooms are 450 square feet in size and feature one king bed, with room for a crib or rollaway bed to sleep up to three guests. Additional amenities include DVD players, fitness DVDs and workout equipment.

Premier Rooms
With 380 square feet of space, Premier Rooms feature one king bed and a sitting area with either a chair or a sofa. They can sleep between two and three guests when a crib or rollaway bed is added.

Corner King Suites
Corner King Suites are 550 square feet in size, with one king bed and a sitting area with a chair and sofa. Some Corner King Suites feature sofa beds, as well. This room type can sleep between two and five guests, with the addition of a crib or rollaway bed.

Luxury Suites
At 1,221 square feet, Luxury Suites are more than twice the size of the Corner King Suites. This room type features a separate bedroom with one king bed, a living room and a dining room with a table for six, and an MP3 docking station, in addition to the standard amenities. A few Luxury Suites also have a full wet bar. They can sleep between up to three guests with the addition of a crib or rollaway bed.

Luxury Presidential Suites
The largest option at the Omni, Luxury Presidential Suites have 1,834 square feet of space. This top-of-the-line suite features a separate bedroom with a king bed, a living and dining area with a table for eight, an MP3 docking station, and a bathroom with a shower and separate Whirlpool bath, plus a sauna.

Pool
Located on the eighth floor of the hotel, inside the Capital Club Fitness center (which is complimentary for all guests), the hotel's pool is indoors and heated. There are no lifeguards on duty. It is open daily from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Omni Sensational Kids Program
Upon arrival, families with children can pick up the Omni Sensational Kids kit, a staple for all Omni hotel guests. The Omni Kitchen Kits, which double as a backpack for little ones, include an activity book, crayons, a squiggly straw, a cup with a lid and a matching card game. Additionally, parents can request special turndown service on their first night, complete with milk and cookies.

Families can access the Providence Place mall without leaving the hotel. Head up the escalators in the lobby and you'll find a bridge that connects the Omni to the city's epicenter of stores, restaurants and more. Providence is a walkable city, and local attractions, such as the RISD Museum and the Roger Williams National Memorial, are within walking distance of the Omni.

Centro Restaurant
Centro offers breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. The menu features Italian cuisine, such as antipasti, pizza, pasta and more for both lunch and dinner. There is no kids' menu, but there are kid-friendly options. Centro's is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Fleming's Steakhouse
Open for dinner only, Fleming's Steakhouse is popular with both Omni guests and residents of Providence. The restaurant is rustic and has a classic steakhouse vibe, with lots of wood accents and features. Menu items include filet mignon, New York strip, rib-eye and other prime cuts, as well as seafood, salads, chicken and smaller plates. Fleming's is open 5 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 5 to 11 p.m. on Friday, 4:30 to 11 p.m. on Saturday and 4 to 9 p.m. on Sunday.

Morsel's
For a cup of coffee or a quick snack, head to Morsel's. The quick stop café is open Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Sunday from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Providence Place Dining Options
For more dining options, families can cross the bridge to Providence Place. The food court includes Taco Bell, Johnny Rockets, Sushi Café, Popeye's Chicken and more. Other restaurants inside the mall include The Cheesecake Factory, Panera Bread, P.F. Chang's and more.

Omni Kits
Omni offers guests a variety of extra wellness kits, such as Fit Kits, with yoga mats and fitness DVDs, or Sleep Kits, with white noise machines and sleep masks. If you or a family member would like one during your stay, ask at the front desk.

Pet Policy
The Omni Providence Hotel allows pets in select guestrooms. Guests will pay a non-refundable $50 fee per stay (not per pet) at check-in. Pets may not exceed 25 pounds. Only one cat or dog is allowed per room and they must be placed in carriers or crates prior to housekeeping services.

Parking
Valet parking at the hotel is $28 per night. Self-parking in the garage right next door to the hotel is $18 per night.

Providence is a year-round destination, with multiple festivals and events taking place throughout the city. The Omni is located near the Dunkin Donuts Center, which hosts a variety of events, concerts, sports games and more, and the Omni may fill up quickly during those times. Additionally, Providence is home to a number of colleges and universities, which may mean that the Omni will fill up with parents visiting their children throughout the year.

The weather in Providence is chilly in the fall and spring, making each a prime time to visit. Summer sees warmer temperatures, though evenings can call for a jacket. However, summer is also home to WaterFire, the seasonal event on the rivers, which also means higher room rates at hotels in the city. The winter is a risky time to visit due to the snowstorms that many New England cities encounter. Visit in April or May or September or October for good rates and comfortable weather.

Getting There
Providence is located right off of I-95. If driving to the city and the hotel, take exit 22A and stay to the right. You'll end up right in front of the hotel. The closest airport to the hotel is Warwick's T.F. Green Airport, just 10 minutes from downtown Providence and the Omni. Take public transportation from the airport, as the Omni is in a prime location for walking to attractions and restaurants.

Getting Around
A car is not needed in Providence. The Omni's location is great, and families can easily walk to the RISD Museum or the rivers to see WaterFire. For attractions that are slightly further afield, such as the Roger Williams Park Zoo and the Providence Children's Museum, take public transportation; neither trip will cost much.

For Mom and Dad
If you can slip away from the kids for a while, enjoy a steak dinner at Fleming's, which is right in the lobby. For a little competitive fun, head to Dave & Buster's in the Providence Place mall, where you and your spouse can play against each other in a game of Pac Man or air hockey, while sipping on a few cocktails. For a quieter night out with some local flavor, try one of the local breweries in town, such as Union Station Brewery, which is just down the street from the Omni.
