We stayed on the first floor in room 121. It was comfy, had an outside entry to the room. Did not stay for breakfast, met friends at a local restaurant as we were passing through! The only complaint was a cigarette burn on the bedspread.

This one is hard to judge. I wanted a non-smoking room and, when I booked online, I thought that’s what I got. When I got there, they gave me a smoking room. The motel was full so they couldn’t switch me. Looking back to when I made the reservation, I don’t remember the web site specifying smoking or non-smoking, which they virtually always do. Maybe I assumed that no mention meant a non-smoking motel. After the dispute, I checked the email confirmation and it said Smoking, but I never read confirmations - I just keep them until I’m safely checked in. In any case, I think I was intentionally suckered into reserving a smoking room that would otherwise have remained empty. For this reason I rated the motel 1/5. It’s not legitimate in this day and age to not specify on the web site and then give someone a smoking room.

Pros: other than the choking tobacco odor in my room (111), everything esle was fine. Wifi was good. Location is good, though a long walk to the downtown eateries. Parking seemed ample. The property is an older property, though generally in good shape. The price wasn’t bad for a sold out motel. (Well, the non-smoking part was sold out.)

Cons: the carpet had stains and some embedded chewing gum. At breakfast, they ran out of cereal bowls! Most rooms face the pool, which can be noisy.

I don’t think I’d recommend the place, but Tripadvisor rates this motel #2 in Eufaula and Yelp rates them #1. Sadly, they may be right, so, compared to the competition, maybe a little smoke is OK. I myself wouldn’t stay in any motel in Eufaula again, even though the town has some charm.
