This small boutique hotel opened the summer of 2013, providing a comfortable, cottage-like setting for vacationers. Rooms are decorated in white, taupe and a light blue with white oak floors, rain shower heads, mini refrigerators and flat-screen TV’s. Rooms provide bay or town views, with Deluxe Suites providing families with kitchenettes, living room with fireplace and pullout sofa, and a master bedroom with king bed. Indigo and Sienna suites also provide full kitchens and dining rooms. The hotel’s largest suite, the SKYE, also provides a dining room, full chef’s kitchen, and two balconies overlooking the bay. In the winter, SAX at the Reeds provides breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week, while summers invite guests to sit outside and overlook the bay from the Water Star Grille.

We decided to try The Reeds on our recent trip to Stone Harbor. At the price this should be a first class property but we had a very average experience. True it is off season, but there was no valet parking, one just had to find a place on the street as the hotel has no parking of its own. There was no bellman to assist with luggage. And our room which could have been made adjoining, resulted in a very noisy experience with people coming back to their room at 1 am, and talking loudly, playing music etc., until after 2am. Not a pleasant night for sure! Overall a disappointing experience for a very pricey hotel, even off season.
Just got back from a 2 night stay as we celebrated our birthday weekend and the hotel is nice and clean. Decor is nice as is the staff. Had a few drinks at the bar during Monday night football and Lou the bartender was great. So many places to eat within walking distance. Overall a great experience.
