I've spent about six weeks here on and off since the summer. I've returned because business has dictated I stay in this hotel. Each time I've stayed something doesn't work, usually a television, this time the stove top. Every room I've had has been filthy. They never vacuum. They just sort of straighten up. When they don't feel like cleaning, today for example, they tell me I left a do not disturb sign on my door. There are roaches on the walls in the morning when I turn on the light. They will come and spray when I complain, but they leave the dead ones on the floor. I have to clean them up. I took a blanket out of the closet and it was covered in debris. The fitness room is poorly equipped and maintained. They took the TV off the one old elliptical this week but it doesn't matter because it didn't work anyway. There is a huge difference in front desk staff. One or two are apologetic, although last month it took a week to replace my TV, the rest make an effort to be unhelpful and unapologetic. I've been a Marriott customer for years and have platinum status but I've had it with them here and have told my company I won't come back if they put me here. If you have a choice there are many other downtown hotels.

Pluses: The hotel has a great location in the heart of Chattanooga, The AC works great. The staff is very friendly.
Minuses: The Queens beds appear to full-sized, not queen. Dirty rooms. They don’t pay attention to detail here. Food scraps in the kitchen trash bin, used washcloth behind the bathroom door. The top of the fridge had a layer of dust showing it had not been cleaned in months. I wrote CLEAN ME on it. Free breakfast is awful, and included moldy bagels. The toaster has not been clean since the last health inspection.
Cue the obligatory response we are so sorry, blah blah.
