You will understand the name of this café immediately upon entering when you realize you are surrounded by Blue Dog artwork. Reowned Artist George Rodrigue, who is from the Lafayette area, grew to worldwide fame when he began painting the blue dog in the mid-1990s. Replicas of his famous pieces fill the restaurant, which features authentic and delicious Cajun cuisine for lunch and dinner, plus brunch on Sundays. Some menu items include gumbo, salads, catfish, duck, crawfish, steak and lots of deep-fried options. Sunday brunch features live music, a stocked buffet and free mimosas.
