The Island Creamery has been making homemade ice cream onsite in small batches since 1975. Fresh cream and milk from Lancaster County cows are used along with local fruits and flavors to create ice cream flavors like Bourbon Caramel Crunch, Cherry Vanilla, Chocolate Peanut Butter and Java Jolt, to name only a few. Flavors are always rotating and are available in bowls, cones or waffles cones (also made onsite). Coffees, sundaes and other delicious treats are also available at this Chincoteague Island dessert hotspot. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, however, the Island Creamery can get exceptionally busy in the summer months.
