On a quiet road about ten minutes outside of Akureyri, Silva is a cozy vegetarian restaurant with delicious food and beautiful views of the mountains. Along with your main dish (specials rotate daily), there’s a buffet with soup, salad, bread, and cold vegetables. Vegetarians, vegans, and omnivores are all welcome and all enjoy the food, from the nut steak to Indian pie to raw pizza. Desserts range from caramel cake to mint chocolate. Note that Silva is only open during the summer months (June to August).
