More than a place to eat, Snook Haven is an adventure. Plan on spending a few hours paddling the Myakka River and looking for alligators. There’s also a playground and places to picnic and relax in an old Florida rural setting.

The restaurant’s dining areas overlook the peaceful and beautiful river. It specializes in house-smoked barbecue and Cracker fare, such as fried catfish and smoked-fried frog legs. For the “Little Gators:” pork slider, nachos mac and cheese, and more traditional offerings like grilled cheese sandwich and hot dogs appear. For something entirely different, try the fried brownie bites for dessert. In summer, Snook Haven hosts Kids Nights on Thursday evenings with games and prizes.
