Located in West Asheville, this small café serves up big portions of Southern comfort food, such as fried green tomatoes, sesame cornmeal crusted trout and chicken and waffles. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served, though breakfast steals the spotlight (the biscuits alone are worth a visit), and you’ll usually find a line — even on weekdays. If you have to wait, the restaurant provides beepers and coffee.

Kids’ menus are available for breakfast or dinner, and include a pasta bowl, grilled chicken or fried chicken or tofu. Outdoor seating is available in warmer months, and pets are welcome.
