With 320 luxury suites and rooms, the Ritz-Carlton Aruba offers guests the same elegant accommodations that the brand is known for in a new location. Opened in the fall of 2013, the Ritz-Carlton Aruba offers three levels of accommodations — rooms, suites and club level — all with limited to full views of the ocean.

With two swimming pools, soft beaches, water sports, a fitness center and a spa, the Ritz has something for everyone. The brand’s renowned Ritz Kids program offers families and children daily activities, plus a weekly movie night.

Guests can enjoy food and drinks at one of the four onsite eateries that offer a variety of flavors. Solanio gives guests a taste of traditional dishes with an Italian twist. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Les Crustaces is open for dinner and offers seafood dishes infused with local ingredients from the island. Madero Argentinian Grill is the poolside grill and bar that serves casual and classic Latin inspired dishes for lunch and dinner. The Divi Bar and Lounge offers guests drinks for any time of the day. Enjoy a coffee or tea in the morning and then head there after dinner for a nightcap.

Local island attractions near the Ritz include the Aruba Aloe Factory and Museum, the Historical Museum, the Butterfly Farm and the California Lighthouse.

This place is amazing. Our first time here. The staff are beyond friendly and helpful. The beach is amazing. The rooms are clean. All restaurants on grounds the food was great. Best drinks were at BLT.

Good but not Ritzy

When you think Ritz Carlton, you think very high-end and glamorous (at least I do). This was good but not remarkable in anyway. Pros: Rooms are large and comfortable, most of the hotel faces the ocean with great views of the sunset, staff is friendly and efficient, rooms are clean and well maintained, elevators are fast. Cons: They don't tell you but you get a forced daily housekeeping gratuity and a bellman gratuity for the first day - they should tell you this because most people tip already and don't realize it is already on the bill, the pools are average (nothing special) and as you walk down past the other hotels pretty standard for the other hotels (the Holiday Inn pool looks the best).

The location is on the far north end but still walkable to the main restaurants and shops in this area. It is about a $30-35 cab fare from airport to hotel. Be advised that they can only take 5 passengers max (even in a van that can hold more ... doesn't make much sense... but that's an Aruba thing not a Ritz-Carlton issue).
