Royal Decameron is a resort in El Salvador located 50 minutes outside of San Salvador on the Pacific Ocean beachfront. It has four freshwater pools and one saltwater pool. There are seven restaurants and many snack bars on the resort, including one right on the beach! The all-inclusive resort is decorated to embody the Mayan culture, with authentic Mayan statues strategically placed on the grounds.
For the kids, the resort has a children’s activity club and a nursery that operates from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. For parents, the Spa Temazcalli offers tranquil healing therapies and the Discoteca Ixchel holds disco dancing in the evenings. All the family will love the Decameron Explorer tours, which take you out to explore the natural habitat. The Royal Decameron makes it easy to discover El Salvador and to enjoy the comfort of resort luxuries all at the same time.

As stated by the other travelers. This place is more for the low end local Guatemalan & Salvadorian travelers. The grounds and rooms are ok. The beach and pool areas are satisfactory. Their restaurants food selection is more for local Guatemalan & Salvadorian travelers. They do not have an international food selection. Their beer and liquors are bottom of the barrel quality. They aren't anything like the other Decameron properties. Decameron should drop them like a hot potato. Yet their corporate greed won't let them.

Excellent weather when we went, the ocean water temperature was perfect for us, we love warm water. The facility is in good conditions, food was also good and drinks were great except that they were small cups.
Overall was a great experience. I have been at this location more than 6 occasion and I do recommend it.
I am planning to come back soon.
