The Scottish Inn is a simple, comfortable, and affordable place to spend your family’s Galveston vacation. With a beautiful setting on Galveston Island’s ferry landing, it’s convenient for exploring, and the rooms and grounds feature most of the basics that families like to have on a trip. Start off with the free continental breakfast, which consists of fairly typical options like cereal, coffee, muffins, fruit, toast, and other simple selections. After a day of exploring all that Galveston has to offer, kids and parents alike will love jumping in for a swim in the outdoor pool in the courtyard. Every room features refrigerators and microwaves, so you can store cold items and prepare simple meals or snacks. Plus, you can access free Wi-Fi from the hotel, which makes it easy to plan out your day or browse the web to relax at the end of the day. If you’d like a personal touch to help you plan activities, just visit the 24-hour front desk for recommendations and assistance booking tickets or tours.

A Diamond in the rough.

This "out of the way Inn" was a really fabfrigentastic find. The price was very low compared to others in the area. We were really surprised at how clean the room was, bathroom looked like it had recently been remodeled. Parking there was not a problem and if you were staying there for a cruise, you get free parking while on the cruise, a real bonus! Friendly staff, gave us a map of the area and had brochure cards for almost anything in and around the area. We have stayed at 2 of the many Laquinta's we went to in the past that were substandard and the Scottish Inn was far better than they were. However, when an event is in town, the prices go up so check that out in advance. I highly recommend this Inn for your stay while in the Galveston area.

The front desk attendant was rude. And they hold a hard line on the 3pm check in. Only 5 cars in the parking lot but we couldn't get a room nor would they store our luggage. Don't worry in a tourist town you have plenty of other options and super 8 was more then willing to accommodate us.
