Perfect location and hotel

by ellauren2016

We were fussing over where to stay in Miami beach and as we had never been before we didnt know where exactly was "central", we read loads from @advisorgirl and settled on this hotel and were 100% happy. We paid a little extra for a bigger room and was definitely worth it, really modern, clean and perfect if you just want to take a break from the heat outside! Breakfast is ample although try and get in before everyone else as it can be a bit crowded in the small area. All in all a fantastic hotel with amazingly friendly staff!

Nice place very well located!

Our stay at The Shepley Hotel was great. It’s very good located, the rooms are wide and I guess the hotel has been reformed/improved recently (it’s very well decorated and everything is new).

The breakfast is better than we thought. There are (delicious) croissants, muffins, ham and cheese, juice, coffee and milk, yogurt, cereal and fruits. There is no a specific place to eat so you can use the tables on the balcony and entrance. In my opinion it’s not a problem.

There are two guys that work at the front desk at night that are absolutely amazing: Gus and Michael. They are very attentive, kind, funny - you can bet they are good people. On the other hand, the staff that works at morning/afternoon is terrible: the guy that stays at the front desk is always looking at his phone and can’t say “good morning” because he just don’t care about the guests. The other guy that stays open/closing the door is rude and claim about everything guests do. They both spend all the time gossiping about the guests, it’s really inconvenient (and sad).

The last consideration is about the room cleaning service: it takes too long to begin - I mean, you go out by the morning and when you are back by the end of the day it’s still undone (the lady always knock your door when you are at the room). I think it could be better.
