Located in downtown Silver Springs, this hotel is within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. After a day of exploring the town, families can head back to the hotel and enjoy some quality time by the seasonal outdoor pool. The kids can swim and play while the adults can unwind on the surrounding pool deck chairs. The comfortable guestrooms and suite feature king beds, a coffee maker and a flat screen television. Additionally, the spacious suites feature a sleeper sofa. Complimentary Wi-Fi access can be found within the guestrooms, too, so there is never a concern for kids or adults about staying connected to work, home or school. The onsite restaurant, Mica Restaurant, serves a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner in a casual setting. Plus, there is a full service Starbucks located in the lobby.

This hotel is showing its age. The downtown Silver Spring location is great and parking is easy. The price is reasonable.
However the hotel overall is rundown. Its a very very loud hotel especially in the middle of the night. It is understaffed, especially the front dest and the restaurant in the hotel. The rooms are large but the amenities in the hotel are very few.
Make a Green Choice" at this Sheraton, and management apparently has an innovative way of compensating for staff shortages: skip housekeeping altogether. Yes, put the white card on your door, expecting that your towels and sheets won't be changed, and, instead, as the front desk confirmed: "When housekeeping sees the white card on the door, they skip the room." The card says you're skipping "Full Housekeeping," but what you get is no housekeeping at all: no trash removed, no counters cleaned, no toiletries refilled, nothing. The room and buffet breakfast is still better than at the Hampton Inn, but the manager here, and the housekeeping manager, need to be re-educated, and fast. And was last night's bartender the breakfast busboy? If so, he's better at being a busboy.
