In a word superb from beginning to end. I had to travel to Mexico for business and decided to bring my family; we stayed from 10/31/19 to 11/06/19. The hotel is, indeed, an oasis amid the tumult that is Mexico City. I arrived and explained to the desk agent that I needed to bring my son with us unexpectedly as circumstances had changed. Without missing a beat, they brought an extra roll away bed without an additional cost. Moreover, I mentioned that my son would have his tenth birthday during our stay in the hotel but more on that later.
The hotel is well situated to key sites on the Paseo De La Reforma, between the Bosque de Chapultepec and the Zocalo (historic center). We traversed the area without difficulty visiting everywhere from Chapultepec Castle and the Anthropology Museum to the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Templo Mayor.
As a regular traveler, I tend to eschew hotel restaurants but I was blown away by the superb, upscale take on Mexican classics in Diana (the hotel's excellent all-purpose restaurant)- delicious for breakfast and dinner; also the King Cole bar should not be missed nor should their singular Bloody Mary with a Mexican twist.
But, the absolute pinnacle of professionalism that entirely won me over was the hotel's attention to detail and willingness to place a guest first-even a ten year old. On the day of my son's birthday, upon arriving late to the room after dinner, my son was greeted with a chocolate, mousse cake, balloons, and a white, Teddy Bear adorned in a blue wind breaker with hoodie bearing the St. Regis logo-this is important because for most of the week my son wore a blue windbreaker with a hoodie. My boy burst out in joy and said that the St. Regis is the best because they even made a bear based on him. I highly recommend the hotel without reserve!

Family Activities

Kids' Club
The kids' club area offers board games, a small slide, Wii games, mini cars to ride around on and arts and crafts. Parents are welcome to drop their children with the supervised staff at the Kids' Club from noon to 7 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Parents are asked not to leave the hotel when their child is as the Kids' Club. On the weekdays, the Kids' Club is not supervised by a staff member, but families are welcome to use the facilities.

During Christmas time, special Kids Club activities take place like the Christmas tree lighting, baking cookies and of course, visits from Santa.

Parents can make a special request to have their children "go camping" inside the hotel room. A small tent will be set up inside your guestroom and the children will receive a teddy bear too.

Indoor Spa Pool
There is an intimate and quiet pool at the spa area, which kids are permitted to use when accompanied by a parent. The pool is open every day from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
