The Art of Smart Timing
Because the hotel is located in a college town, the Staybridge Suites stays very busy whenever school is in session. In addition, due to its close proximity to Bentonville (home to Walmart headquarters), the hotel also stays busy during the Walmart annual shareholders' meeting, usually in May. The city also is quite popular for team sports. Therefore, the best time to visit without crowds is from late December through January.
If traveling by car, the Staybridge Suites is located right off Interstate 49. If traveling by air, the nearest airport is Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA), which is a 45-minute drive away in Bentonville. A one-way taxi ride from the airport to the hotel will cost approximately $50.
Getting around town does require a car, especially during University of Arkansas football game weekends. To avoid some of the game traffic, there is a back route to and from the hotel via Futrall Drive; the front desk can provide directions. Public transportation is available through Ozark transit, and there is a bus stop across from the hotel.
The college also provides free transportation to and from the campus via Razorback Transit. Ask the front desk for a current schedule and bus stop location.
For Mom and Dad
When mom and dad find themselves with a night out sans kids, they can walk over to the shops just in front of the hotel. Here, they can have dinner at Foghorn's, a restaurant with a sports bar atmosphere.
