Guests comment on the quiet nature and helpful staff of this motel. The Monterey Bay Aquarium, Maritime Museum, and Fisherman’s Wharf are both within a 15-minute drive of the hotel. At the hotel, guests can find an outdoor pool. An area shuttle is available to help guests travel around the area. Families will find the Standard Room with two queen beds great for up to four people. Extra beds and cribs are available. Guestrooms include breakfast, free Wi-Fi, cable TV, refrigerator, private bathroom, daily housekeeping, and air conditioning. A free breakfast is served every morning, and families can enjoy their other meals at one of the local restaurants within walking distance from the hotel.

Very good budget choice for Monterey!

We stayed for two nights in September. The location was good. This is an older hotel, but as others have stated, the rooms are nicely updated and very clean. We all (two senior couples) agreed that this was a very good budget choice, a good balance of being pretty nice with a good price. We had a little traffic noise in the early morning, but not too bad.

Like the very helpful front desk man said, it's 12 minutes from the Stevenson to the wharf. And dozens of places to eat/drink/shop along the way!
We are happy we chose the Stevenson Monterey. Google maps took us round & round to get there (annoying!) but we found our way and were quickly enchanted. It looks like a retro motel - in the best possible way - that's been completely refreshed and updated. Sparkling clean. Nice continental breakfast. We loved our stay!
