Head into the woods at this Northwoods-themed roadside hotel — a good choice for families — just over a mile from downtown Galena’s Main Street. Rooms resemble luxury log cabins with knotty pine furnishings and wilderness decor. The higher-end suites have fireplaces, a king bed and either a double pullout couch or single pullout couch. You can add a rollaway bed for $10; Pack ‘N Plays are available upon request at no charge.
Family-friendly perks include a bountiful hot breakfast buffet, free Wi-Fi and a nice indoor pool and Jacuzzi, decorated with rocks to resemble the outdoors. Plenty of tables and chairs are set up for families who want to hang out together in the pool area. It’s open 6 a.m. to 11p.m. There’s also a sauna in the pool area.
Adults will appreciate the hotel’s Northwoods-themed bar, open until 1 a.m. Another great place to relax while the kids are sleeping is the cozy lobby with its chic cabin furnishings and roaring fireplace. Complimentary coffee is available 24 hours a day.

We stayed in a "Themed Room" which was larger than normal and had a gas Fireplace which we used each night. Both the staff members who checked us in were cheerful and friendly. Our room was very quiet and uniquely decorated with furniture constructed with pine logs on the exterior. Very relaxing décor and we spent more time than usual in the room enjoying it. Located a few blocks outside of the downtown and there are stores nearby.
Long day on the road from Kansas City, visiting Winterset Iowa and Field of Dreams. landed in a most wonderful Motel. Very clean, happy people and friendly place to rest my bones. Bed was wonderful, room quiet and breakfast was hot and plenty the next morning. Lots of coffee in room, checkout desk and in the breakfast room. What a pleasant place to stay!
