This quiet inn features five guestrooms around a central living room. One room includes two queen beds, and would be fine for a small family. If you’re a big group, however, take a look at the newly remodeled guest house. It contains three separate bedrooms, each with a queen bed, along with two bathrooms, a fully stocked kitchen and a living room with sleeper sofa and futons. Other amenities include a washer/dryer, free Wi-Fi, satellite TV and a gas grill. All guests have access to a hot tub and wood-fired sauna hidden away in the trees next to a babbling creek. A free continental breakfast is stocked in your refrigerator each night.

Stoney Creek Inn is located 6 miles north of Seward, hidden behind thick spruce trees, just a few minutes off the highway. It’s an easy 15-minute drive back to the downtown shops and restaurants. Kids will love visiting the Alaska Sealife Center, the state’s biggest aquarium. Explore the nearby Kenai Fjords National Park on a guided day trip, or sign up for a deep sea fishing charter, with any of the reputable tour companies you see along the waterfront in Seward. You’ll find that a stay at the Stoney Creek Inn, with its gorgeous creekside location and its spacious guest house, will complete your perfect family vacation in Alaska.

Great place to stay!

I would totally recommend staying at Stoney Creek Inn if you are looking for a place in/nearby Seward. Initially I wasn't super sure about the location because we had an early morning cruise and the closer we stayed to the harbor area, the easier it would have been. However, there are two large full-day parking lots ($10-a-day) right by the harbor and getting there and parking early morning wasn't a problem at all.

The area was nice, the room was comfortable and clean and I would totally recommend staying here vs staying at a hotel by the harbor or in the town.

It was great that they also provided complimentary breakfast each day (milk, cereal, orange juice, fruits, muffins).

Very clean, nice host and nice setting.

Breakfast is provided in the room the night before (there is a fridge in the room) so you can eat at your leisure at a comfortable table also in the room. Private bathroom was tight but also very clean and worked fine for us. I was able to stroll down the lane to view the river and the mountains. Just a few miles north of Seward. The common area had plenty of family room seating, reading material and games. Coffee maker in the room (yes!). We prefer B & B to motel/hotel and this is one we would return to if we were to visit Seward again, which is likely. Common area had microwave, tea, hot chocolate and more coffee.
