The Sun Deck Inn & Suites is a charming hotel that is close to Fort Myers Beach (1.5 blocks) and just a bit farther to the city fishing pier. Whether you and your family are planning a relaxing vacation on the beach or one busy with water sports, staying at this hotel puts you close to it all. Water activities in the area include parasailing, jet skiing and deep-sea fishing. Guestrooms have flat-screen TVs and hairdryers, and most also have kitchenettes equipped with refrigerators, microwaves and coffeemakers. Beach towels, beach chairs and coolers are all provided, and there’s an onsite an ice machine and a gas grill, too. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property.
There’s no restaurant onsite here, but you’ll find plenty within walking distance, including Greek, Italian and American spots. The apartment-style suites here can accommodate between eight and 10 people and there are standard hotel rooms, too, that sleep four.

Chose this place because we’ve driven past it many times over the years and it’s always intrigued us. We stayed in the Nantucket suite from a Wednesday through Sunday morning, it had everything we needed. It’s a tiny place, only 7 rooms I think which was perfect. The room was spotless and although the place is dated, we didn’t mind it one bit. Everyone there was very accommodating and whatever we needed we got. Beach towels, there was a very nice beach bag in the room I wanted to snag so bad! :). Everything you need for a day at the beach is available.
We walked everywhere, got in the car once and drove to Sanibel but other than that everything we needed was right there. We enjoyed our stay very much. Wished the elephants above us were a little quieter but I had earplugs so I slept very well.
Just returned from a weekend trip to Fort Myers and a great stay at Sun Deck Inn & Suites. It was not what I thought and did not have any time to read reviews before the trip, but loved it!!! Rockport was a great little room and I loved the uniqueness the room offered. The hotel was a short walk from the beach and was close to alot of restaurants/bars. This is what is needed for a nice little beach stay to unwind. I know I will definitely be back and will recommend.
