This beautiful riverside lodge will spoil you with its luxurious rooms and spectacular views. There are three deluxe suites in the main building that can comfortably hold a family of four, or you can choose one of the nearby cabins to accommodate a family of six. Each of the beautiful modern cabins has downstairs and loft bedrooms, separate sitting and dining areas, and kitchenettes that include a small refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffeemaker. And windows. Lots of windows looking out on the impressive Susitna River, one of the largest rivers, by volume of water, in North America. There are picnic tables, BBQ grills, and a wide lawn for the kids to play on.
Susitna River Lodging is perfectly located on the edge of Talkeetna, just a half-mile from the historic downtown core. You can follow a nature trail along the river and through the trees to access shops, restaurants and art galleries. Make sure to stop in for breakfast at the Talkeetna Roadhouse, which has been serving sourdough pancakes for nearly 100 years. Kids will love the old buildings that include a general store, museum and bakery. Experienced guides are available for hire to take you out on the river for trout and salmon fishing. Talkeetna is also a launching point for excursions into Denali National Park and the surrounding wilderness. Take a flightseeing trip, visit a sled dog kennel, or zip-line down a mountain. There are plenty of things to keep a family busy, and the beautiful suites and cabins of Susitna River Lodging are just the place to start your Alaska adventure.

This is a really nice place. We stayed in the lodge rooms which are cozy and spacious. The place is spotless and well appointed. Exceptionally fluffy towels! It’s also in a lovely setting next to the river. Nice living room for hanging out in with Tv, good dvd selection and comfy couches. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Strongly recommended.
Thanks for a great stay
What a great place to stay!
The staff is nice, everything looks clean and nice, as if it was built last week.
The cabins are super nice inside and outside, well equipped kitchen, bathrooms.
The downtown area is only about a 20 minute walk from the cabins and well worth visiting. Nice restaurants in the area.
The Sunitha River Lodging has also a lobby area where tea, coffee, cookies are provided. Sort of a lobby area cabin with tourism books, TV...
Internet in the cabins and in the lobby area works great.
Each cabin has a charcoal BBQ grill as well as a picnic table, porch to seat outside looking and the river, badminton / volleyball playing area (equipment provided).
I will definitely return here, the town is very fun, and nice.
