We couldn’t make up a place more charming if we tried. The Lodge on Little St. Simons Island is a hidden, privately-owned hotel, accessible only by boat. Families can stay in cozy cottages (with one, two, three or four bedrooms) — or rent the entire island! Guestrooms with one bed are available (for anyone who needs a break from the rest of the family!).
Onsite activities include spending lazy days on the beach, biking, kayaking, birding, fishing, and boating. The resort also offers an outdoor pool.
The best part? It’s all-inclusive! Three meals daily (plus hors d’oeuvres and snacks), premium wine and beer, soft drinks, nightly accommodations, boat transfers, naturalist-led excursions, and recreational equipment rentals are covered in rates.

We enjoyed our visit to this island full of birds and wildlife. Naturalists present programs daily to meet the needs of guests. If you live the out of doors this is a place for you. The staff was great and delicious meals were served daily.
I have always enjoyed the Golden Isles of Georgia and have visited the area many times. Many of the islands are undeveloped and unspoiled. Only four of the islands connect to the mainland by a causeway. Little Saint Simons is only reachable by boat.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to LSSI. I had wanted to visit ever since I first learned of the place from my cousin who had stayed at the Lodge.
Little Saint Simons is truly unique and magical. The food is amazing and so fresh and good. We took advantage of a number of the activities including kayaking and going out in a skiff to explore and photograph the abundant bird life. One additional benefit of our stay was the great group of people that were staying at the Lodge too.
There is a group of naturalists who are extremely helpful and will help you formulate a plan of activities that accomplish your objectives. They were very considerate and helped my wife who has had two knee replacements get in and out of a kayak so she could find out if she liked it or not. She also wanted to run a skiff and was successful in that endeavor as well. She came away feeling empowered by the opportunity to try new activities and succeed.
We both highly recommend The Lodge at Little St. Simons Island.
