I've stayed in a couple of Travelodge hotels in London, first time here. Check-in experience was not great so was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by Alex at the bar when ordering food. Offered a solution to a menu item that was no longer available. Never experienced that before at a Travelodge!

Great Location

Only stayed for a night as I arrived earlier than expected and my other hotel was fully booked. The location is great (5 minutes walk to Tower Hill and Aldgate underground stations), very close to Tower Bridge and several restaurantsand pubs around. Compared to other Travelodge Hotels I stayed in, the staffwas very warm, welcoming and helpful. The only downside - the room was facing the tracks which meant noise but as I was only there to sleep anyways I didnt mind.
