The Tugboat Inn in downtown Boothbay Harbor gets its name from the main building that is literally housed in a tugboat! The onsite restaurant is also located in the tugboat, offering lovely waterfront views as hotel guests and the public dine on fresh Maine lobster.
The hotel is divided into five buildings, which offer a total of 64 guestrooms equipped with mini-fridges, Keurig coffeemakers, free internet, and king or queen beds. Some rooms are pet-friendly.

We stayed here on a recommendation from a family member. We stayed in the main Inn building; which I would recommend as you have a direct view of the water, and sunrise (which is my favorite time of day). We were on the second floor; which was the same floor as the street level. The balcony was private from the other rooms on the floor. Our room was very clean, and the shower appeared to be recently updated. There was a refrigerator, microwave, and keurig in the room. We ate lunch at the Tugboat Restaurant; and were very satisfied with our meals. The fries were amazing! The restaurant was rented out for a special event that night, so dinner was not an option; however, we weren’t hungry anyway!! It appeared that some guests ordered full entrees at lunch, and their meals also looked delicious. A continental breakfast is included with the stay. It provided more than enough options than we needed to get our day started. (English muffins, bagels, toast, pancakes, muffins, bagels, oatmeal, fruit cup, scrambled eggs, sausage links, hash, baked beans, juice, coffee). The hotel is conveniently located within a short walking distance to the quaint shops in town. We would definitely stay there in the future!
